Wine Spectator selects "Juan Gil 2003 - 12 months" (89 points)
10/03/2005 - 2
Jumilla is an emerging region in the southeast of Spain, which specializes in old-vine Monastrell, or Mourvédre.
This red offers an intriguing mix of black fruit, raisin, hazelnut and mineral flavors, with very firm tannins and plenty of alcohol.
A bit rustic, but has character. Best from 2006 through 2010.
Thomas Matthews.
